FIGHTING HARADA BRILLIANT AFTER 866 DAYS..  FIGHTING HARADA BRILLIANT AFTER 866 DAYS..

Patience has never been rewarded more for just a wonderful and trusting ownership group when Fighting Harada brilliantly won the Battery Zone BM64 under lights over 1200 meters at Pakenham Thursday Feb 11. Coming off such a long break of 866 days, you just never know how the pressure of race day will unfold, however three impressive trial wins leading into Pakenham gave every indication that Fighting Harada would perform when the pressure was applied. The ownership group never deviated off Fighting Haradaís rehabilitation program and a couple of additional hiccups along the way made circumstance even more trying, however Fighting Harada continued to tick every box along the way and the group allowed the team at Warrnambool under Matthew Williams expert care to do their job which was rewarded with Pakenhamís win. Dean Yendall gave Fighting Harada an absolute peach of a ride, allowing the 5YO to settle three back on the outside and on straightening extricated Fighting Harada to the centre of the track giving him good galloping room, and this Son of Fighting Sun did the rest and let down in devastating style to win as he pleased. Kudos to Mick Price, Michael Kent, Matthew Williams and his veterinary team and Dean Yendall for all combining for such a magnificent achievement after 866 days off the scene. Fighting Harada had just had the 9 starts for now 3 wins, 2 seconds and a third and $134,090 in stakes. Fighting Harada has pulled up super from his victory and will most likely head to Sandown on Wednesday March 3 for a most suitable 1400 meter BM78 race. Fingers crossed that this guy can remain nice and sound as if so, plenty of fun is in store for this wonderful ownership group!
