| ROYAL CHARADES 8 WINS FROM 16 STARTS.
Gutsy mare Royal Charades brought up her 8th overall victory and 4th Metropolitan success on Saturday 22nd May when she accounted for a talented field of sprinters in a driving finish in the second heat of the 2010 all Victorian Sprint series at Caulfield. Beautifully ridden by Glen Boss the mare was perfectly positioned in the run by Boss who gained a split on straightening and drove through to win copping a buffeting to the line in a very crowded finish. Full credit goes to the mare who has won in similar circumstances before and does not know how to lie down in a tight finish and obviously has a tremendous will to win. Full credit also goes to the syndicate on their patience as Royal Charades did not come up in the Spring on the hard tracks and the mare subsequently had a lovely long break which did her the world of good and the team have now been rewarded with Royal Charade’s city win on a track that she obviously relishes having now had 4 starts at Caulfield for 3 wins. Royal Charades will continue on in the series which culminates in a $151,500 final at Flemington on Sat July 10.Royal Charades record now stands at 16 starts for 8 wins and 2 thirds for stakes of $176,418.00.
