| OUR GOLD BULLION WINS IN TIGHT FINISH.
Our promising NZ stayer Our Gold Bullion returned to the winners stall at Echuca on July 12 albeit by a narrow margin but was impressive nevertheless. Carrying 57kg Our Gold Bullion, who was ridden an absolute treat by jockey Dale Smith led all of the way and with stood a mighty challenge all of the way down the straight to win narrowly conceding 6kg to the eventual runner up Clanger Count to record his 4th win. It was a welcome return to the winners stall for this son of Pentire who got bogged down with 58kg at Kyneton at his previous start but back onto firmer footing at Echuca is now back on track ready to tackle some harder events. Our Gold Bullion showed Bulldog like courage in the straight and looked gone a couple of times before simply out staying the opposition on the line to win in a courageous effort. It was a run that he will derive plenty of benefit from and really looks a horse likely to go through his grades as he is a tough sound stayer and usually holds his form once he finds it. Our Gold Bullion has now won 4 from only 13 starts and $38,125.00 in stakes
