| LE BONSIR BOLTS IN. (11th July 2011)
Damselfly’s half brother Le Bonsir (x Choisir) finally delivered on his ability by bolting in, leading all of the way winning by 3 and a quarter lengths to record his first win at Geelong on Friday 8th July. Sent out a short price favourite at Wangaratta when narrowly defeated the 3yo was subsequently gelded and given further time to mature, and it now looks as though that move was a most successful one by the syndicate which will ultimately result in Le Bonsir realizing his full potential. A big strapping son of Choisir,Le Bonsir has always shown excellent ability however immaturity issues has limited his race track appearances to date however it does appear as though now is his time.Le Bonsir is the fourth foal to race (and win) of the dual GROUP winning mare La Bella Dame which was also raced by the syndicate. The previous winners out of La Bella Dame included the Sydney Metropolitan winner Bel Spur, the GROUP winning filly Damselfly (raced by the syndicate) and People’s Choice a winner in Perak Malaysia. The syndicate will also be looking forward to the pending foaling of Damselfly’s mating with Hussonet which is due next month and they all certainly hope that the legacy of winners continues as this family has certainly been a fruitful source of winners over the years. It is anticipated that Le Bonsir will have his next run at Flemington in an 1100 meter 3yo race on Saturday July 23. |
