| COMIC COMPOSER SCORES AT MORPHETTVILLE.
In what can only be described as an absolute nail biter Comic Composer returned to the winners circle by taking out the last race at Morphettville on Saturday 4th August 2012 by the barest possible margin. At his third run back after 12 months off the scene through injury Comic Composer showed a great deal of intestinal fortitude to wear down and eventually defeat race favorite Handsome As in a driving finish. It was a great testament to the training abilities of Leon Macdonald to have Comic Composer back to the winners list so soon and great testament to the owners who have stuck strong and were richly rewarded with the win. Jockey Clare Lindop should also be complimented on an outstanding ride placing Comic Composer perfectly throughout and peeling out at the exact right moment. Her excellent ride continues to confirm her reputation as one of Adelaide's best jockeys and one of Australia's best female riders. Comic Composer has been an ever consistent galloper having had just the 17 runs now for 5 wins,3 seconds and 1 third for stakes of $98,113.00.Given he is such a lightly raced 6yo there is still improvement in this horse and Leon feels as though the fun is not over for his many loyal owners.
