| COMIC COMPOSER’S SMART ADELAIDE WIN.
Comic Composer’s continued progression from a long term injury reached new heights on Saturday 25th August when the now 6yo won convincingly by 2 lengths on a slow (6) at Morphettville.Perfectly ridden by Adelaide’s leading rider in Clare Lindop, Comic Composer box seated throughout and had a lovely cart on the back of noted Leader Handsome As. On the turn it was clear that Comic Composer was travelling well and Clare extricated off Handsome As’s back on straightening, leveled up half way down the straight and then ran away in the final stages to win well by 2 lengths and was very strong on the line. Comic Composer has continued to improve in all 4 runs this time in and the thought is that there is still further improvement to come. The last two wins have been an excellent reward for the owners who have stuck loyal throughout some frustrating times however if Leon was able to nurture Comic Composer back to full racing condition he was always a horse that was always going to repay. He is an extremely consistent horse who is clearly over his issues and whose records now stands at 18 starts for 6 wins and 4 minor placings for $119,413.00.Comic Composer will now take on Listed company in the $80,000 Balaklava Cup over 1600 meters for his next start on Wednesday 5th September and being such a progressive horse and given the way he is going at the moment, a cheeky run would be expected!
