| LAST 5 RUNNERS-ALL WINNERS.
Armed with the knowledge that all winning runs inevitably come to an end it is still pleasing and personally extremely gratifying to see so many happy United Syndication owners gracing the winners stall. The ball started rolling with Comic Composer at Morphettville on the 4th August when he scraped home in a desperate finish after a long layoff and was followed up the next day at Seymour by first starter Onpicalo who won impressively.Onpicalo showed that that win was no fluke and made it two out of two by scoring at Sandown on the 22nd of August. Not to be out done Comic Composer buttered up to make it two on end by winning most impressively again at Morphettville on the 25th August some 3 days later and Fastnet Rock filly Rococco completed the 5th winner from as many runners when she absolutely bolted in at Wangaratta on Sunday 2nd September. Ridden by inform rider Dale Smith,Rococco was positioned perfectly in the run box seating throughout before Dale extricated out just prior to the turn. From there it was a procession and Rococco let down beautifully to win running away easing up on the line to win pulling up by 3 lengths defeating the Luke Oliver trained Hamam with the first starter Irun battling on well to finish third. Great praise needs to given to all of the owners Rococco who have been extremely patient allowing myself and Mick to give her a lovely extended spell after a most promising debut at Caulfield in January where we identified her as a potential Spring staying filly. To date all the boxes have been ticked and no doubt Mick will up the ante for Rococco at her next start which may take us interstate with Black type in mind which would be extremely valuable for a Fastnet Rock filly. After that we will see if the boxes continue to be ticked!
