LE BONSIR WINS SHOWCASE..

Genuine 5yo gelding Le Bonsir proved his first up run was an aberration by returning to the winners stall to record his most exciting and best win to date at the most recent Cranbourne night meeting on October 19. Aided by a terrific ride by Michael Walker the homebred, bred by his syndicate who raced his GROUP winning dam in La Bella Dame Le Bonsir showed great intestinal fortitude to win carrying his big weight of 60kg with authority to win in a game performance. Michael Walker was very dominant on jumping ensuring that Le Bonsir sprung the gates and showed great vigor to show his hand early and was determined to lead. He was able to get a couple of soft sectionals during the race before taking off at the point of the turn in daring catch me if you can tactics and the plan worked with Le Bonsir although getting a bit tired on the line (which he was entitled to) hanging on well to score nicely. It was a very clever ride and just reward for his Syndicate that have been patient all throughout his career to date which has been marred by little niggles that have restricted his career to only 10 runs but has resulted in 4 wins and 3 seconds for prize money of $59,900.Le Bonsir will have his races nice and spaced with his next run expected to be on Kyneton Cup day where he is likely to contest a $50,000 ratings based race which looks ideal and given that he has now struck form would be expected to be extremely competitive.
