Promising 3yo filly Rococco gave United Syndications not only our first ever runner over the great Warrnambool May Carnival but our first winner on Day 2 when she led all of the way to record a very impressive win in the $50,000 3yo 0-72 benchmark over 1400 meters. Ridden an absolute treat by top hoop Glen Boss who was allowed to steal cheap sectionals throughout the mid stages of the race,Rococco was always going to give a kick in the straight and that she did reveling in the soft going and extending at the finish to win drawing away by about a length and a half. It was a great result for the Syndicate who race this promising daughter of Fastnet Rock as she has had her fair share of niggles and has been difficult to train. Considered a Metropolitan class filly it is hoped that Rococco will now be able to get her opportunity to tackle a city class race over the next few weeks over 1600 meters plus and having a clear affinity for soft tracks she looks to be well suited over the upcoming weeks as Winter rolls around.Rococco has now had 7 starts for 2 wins,1 second and a third for $45,000 in stakes. |
