| TWO IN A ROW FOR ROCOCCO.
Smart Fastnet Rock filly Rococco made it two wins a row when she stormed home to win the $30,000 0-72 Country Showcase in a desperately tight finish at Bendigo on Thursday 16th May. Ridden extremely well by top hoop Glen Boss,Rococco was allowed to settle at the rear of the field before unleashing a powerful finishing burst late to arrive just on time winning by a short half head. The win was even more meritorious when you consider that the second horse Counted got away with cheap sectionals during the race so her effort to win was very good. No doubt the soft tracks have aided this filly as that was her third win from as many runs on slow tracks. She will be kept to similar conditions in the future which should not be too hard now given that we are coming into Winter and is a horse to follow particularly when she gets over a longer trip. She looks to have stayer written all over her, is very genuine and has a terrific will to win.Rococco is now starting to build up a terrific record which currently stands at 8 starts for 3 wins,1 second and a third for $63,020.00 in stakes as she now heads back to town for her next anticipated run.
