| LE BONSIR WINS FIRST UP AT MOONEE VALLEY.
A large and vocal group of loyal United Syndication owners experienced a thrill of a lifetime when their tough and brave 6yo Le Bonsir won first up at the Valley on Saturday 24th August. Ridden an absolute treat by one of the most promising apprentices in Australia in Patrick Moloney Le Bonsir showed all of the intestinal fortitude that he is now becoming famous for to win in a tight finish. Beginning well from a middle alley Patrick had Le Bonsir settling second in the early stages before Brett Prebble on Hollowlea made a surprise decision to push forward and went up and sat outside the leader Sir Fernando. Showing maturity beyond his years Patrick then made the race winning move by then taking the sit right behind the pair and from that point gave Le Bonsir a very kind run knowing that he was first up and lacking some race fitness. Pulling out at the top of the straight Le Bonsir chased hard to pick up Sir Fernando who gave a terrific kick and got up right on the line to win narrowly with Cavallo Nero filling third.Le Bonsir has improved at every prep since having some immaturity issue as a younger horse and has been expertly placed by our Syndicate trainer in Mick Price all through.Le Bonsir is now starting to build up an impressive record which now stands at 19 starts for 7 wins,4 seconds and 2 thirds with overall prize money of just over $220,000.Le Bonsir has pulled up well from the Valley and will now head to the $121,000 Listed Chandler Macleod Stakes over 1200 meters at Moonee Valley on September 14 for his next run.
