| ONPICALO WINS BY 5 IN A DEVASTATING CAULFIELD VICTORY.
4YO Hussonet gelding Onpicalo gave his much loved owners a great thrill with a devastating win at Caulfield Saturday May 3.Given a gem of a ride by Champion hoop Dwayne Dunn Onpicalo virtually led all of the way to win pulling up on the line by 5 lengths in a most impressive performance. Jumping well as he usually does Onpicalo just put himself on speed and from there D. Dunn was able to have him travelling sweetly in front under his own steam and he was allowed to dictate in front.Revelling in the slow conditions it was clear that Onpicalo had his rivals off the bit prior to the turn and heading for the inside part of the straight on straightening Dwayne had the fast lane well and truly identified and won full of running in a very strong performance. It was a great reward for the Syndicate who allowed Onpicalo to have a slightly longer spell than required after he was rehabbing from injury last year and this extra time has allowed Onpicalo to fully furnish, looks a completely different horse and this extra time as we can see has been greatly appreciated by the horse who now has rewarded the Syndicate with a Saturday Metropolitan victory. There are no big plans in store for Onpicalo but rather will be kept to the Winter months of Melbourne where he seems to grow an extra leg in the wet where conditions are clearly to his liking. Off a $40,000 purchase at the 2011 Gold Coast Magic Millions sales Onpicalo has now returned over $134,000 for his fantastic group of loyal and enthusiastic owners!
