| ROYAL SNITZEL BACK WITH A VENGEANCE AT MV.
Promising 3yo filly Royal Snitzel resumed with a brilliant win at Moonee Valley on Saturday Jan 24 for Mick’s new NZ apprentice Michael Dee giving him his first win from his very first ride in Australia which no doubt pleased not only Michael but more importantly his new master. Doing it at both ends of the race the daughter of Snitzel began well from wide out but had to be used in the early stages to get over and sit outside the early leader Bullpit.Once there she never looked in danger and apart from just get off the bit prior to turning which happens sometimes when horses have their first look at the Valley she soon knuckled down and won pulling up to score impressively on the line by a length and a half running good time. Royal Snitzel was given a light Spring culminating in a GROUP 3 second in the Quezette and was given a lovely 8 week spell at Cloverdale where she thrived and this has obviously paid off as she has come back a more mature filly both physically and mentally. Royal Snitzel has pulled up well from Saturday’s win and will now aim for Black type in the GROUP 3 Kevin Hayes for 3yo Fillies over 1200 meters at Caulfield on Feb 14 where she would be expected to be hard to beat. Royal Snitzel has just had the 4 starts for 3 wins and a GROUP 3 second and to date has earned connections $133,500!
