VIBRANCE SALUTES IN A THRILLER..  VIBRANCE SALUTES IN A THRILLER..

Our 5yo mare Vibrance certainly gave her backers a thrill at Pakenham August 23 when she came with a strong well timed run wide out to grab victory with horses coming from everywhere late making for a busy finish in the 0-58 Officer Grain Store Hcp. Full marks to this mare as she has been a horse that has certainly taken her time to mature and full marks also to her owners for being patient and allowing her to fully bloom as a horse. It was a very good win coming from mid field to sustain a strong and long run to win and beautifully handled by a real rising star in Beau Mertens. Beau had Vibrance travelling well midfield after settling and whilst he took off a touch early prior to the turn to avoid being caught in a pocket with other runners wanting to come around him, he balanced up the 5yo before asking her for the supreme effort and once he did she showed a good turn of foot and fight to hold off all challengers. It was only Vibrance’s 13th start for now 2 wins,3 seconds and a third and that win took her to $34,570 in stakes. She appears to be a stronger tougher mare now who should be able to cope with the day to day rigors of racing and whilst there are no ambitious plans with this mare she should be able to race consistently for her terrific group of owners!
