| WIN NUMBER 3 FOR VIBRANCE. (27th October 2016)
Progressive mare Vibrance secured her 3rd win in her short career at Wodonga on Thursday 27th October with a last to first victory in the Wodonga Gold Cup BM 0-64 which was clearly her best to date. Ridden quiet from the barrier jockey Beau Mertens found himself last early in what was a messy tempo but refusing to panic allowed Vibrance to settle and travel well throughout in that position before stoking up the mare from the 600 meter mark. Vibrance was at full throttle at the turn and in clear going sprinted well and was strong to the line coming away at the finish to score by three quarters of a length from Phantom Eagle with Dakota filling 3rd. Vibrance had been a frustrating type of filly/mare and had been most immature to this point but allowed to mature and be given time by her patient group of owners they are now seeing the benefit of that patience and she has really blossomed this prep racing with terrific consistency that includes 2 wins,3 seconds and a 4th from her 6 runs so far. She is quite deep into her prep now so a well-earned spell is beckoning for this well-bred Daughter of Stratum who is well and truly expected to improve in the future on the $54,425.00 prize money that she has won to date! |
