| EXFLYTATIONS SCORES IN A DRIVING FINISH.
4YO Exceed And Excel Mare Exflyations certainly gave her army of supporters many anxious moments at Moe on Friday 10th November when the Mare, who looked in real trouble many times in the straight after leading throughout somehow managed to hold on to score in a driving finish with horses all around and coming fast. Ridden an absolute treat by leading rider Michael Walker and having her first try at the 2000 meters, Exflytations began smartly from the gates and had no trouble to lead at the post the first time. From there, Michael was able to dictate the tempo and get away with a couple of cheap sectionals, however was starting to get challenged hard from the 600 meter mark. Giving a kick at the turn and holding that kick all the way down the straight, Exflytations managed to hold on at the finish showing great determination to win by a half head from the Peter Gelagotis trained Zooba Man with Startierra filling third. It was an overdue change of luck for Exflytations who had been racing well and most consistently during this prep without a whole lot of luck. Purchased from the 2015 Sydney Easter Sales for $100,000 Exflytations has now earned connections $49,490.00 and whilst there are no grand plans in store, Exflytations will be continued to be managed responsibility and placed correctly in the knowledge that being such a sound, clean winded Mare the best may still be yet to come!
